PMQs: May dismisses SNP's call for People's Vote
  • 5 years ago
The SNP's Westminster leader Ian Blackford used Wednesday's PMQ's to criticise the Conservative and Labour parties Brexit talks, saying that "Scotland won't be forced to accept what these two Brexit parties are preparing to serve up". Ahead of Theresa May's attendance at the European Summit in Brussels later in the day, Mr Blackford asked the prime minister if she would accept the EU's offer of a long Article 50 extension and put Brexit back to a People's Vote. Mrs May responded that Scotland would have left the EU if they had voted for independence in 2014. Report by Jonesia.
