Rosmah Mansor has claimed trial to a new charge in the RM5 million bribery case involving solar hybrid power projects in Sarawak.

The wife of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak is accused of receiving RM5 million from Saidi Abang Samsudin, managing director of Jepak Holdings, via her aide Rizal Mansor.

Jepak Holdings had obtained a RM1.25 billion contract from the Education Ministry through direct negotiation.

Rosmah claimed trial to the charge under Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009.
