Rafale Verdict: Supreme Court Rejects Centre's Plea Challenging Review by Petitioners
  • 5 years ago
The Supreme Court has dismissed the objections raised by the government against admitting evidence that the centre claims was allegedly stolen from the defence ministry. The Supreme Court ruled that the evidence based on stolen documents can be admissible in court. The top court will now hear the review petitions challenging the SC's earlier Rafale judgment in the next hearing. The case heard by three judge bench led by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi arrived at unanimous decision in this regard. The review petitions were filed against a December 14, 2018 judgement of the Supreme Court upholding the 36 Rafale jets' deal.
