Mercurial fuzz-pop trio Minihorse were formed in Ypsilanti, Michigan by singer/songwriter/producer Ben Collins along with bassist Christian Anderson and drummer John Fossum. All veterans of Southeast Michigan's vibrant rock scene, Collins initially found success with indie pop darlings Lightning Love before joining Anderson and Fossum as members of acclaimed psych-pop outfit Starling Electric. Minihorse emerged in 2015, recording a set of Collins' songs at his Ypsilanti studio and performing regionally. The following year they signed with California-based indie Friendship Fever, which released their debut EP Big Lack. ~ Timothy Monger, Rovi
