Volunteers helping Gangwon-do wildfire victims

It's been about three days since the wildfire started.
More than a hundred people are still in emergency shelters in the area... where volunteers are coming to help.
Seo Bo-bin has the latest from Goseong.
The massive wildfire on the east coast of South Korea forced thousands of people to flee their homes... and now with the fire out... many of them have no home to go back to.
They're in emergency shelters... like the one set up at this elementary school.

Outside, many different organizations and groups are here day and night giving food, medical aid... and words of comfort too.

"We're from the Korean Buddhist Foundation for Social Welfare and we heard that they don't have any fruit, so we've come with a lot of food. This is the first time we've had such a big fire,... so I hope that the damage is repaired and people can go home safely."

"We're from the Korea Church Relief Team. We thought that we needed to help these people, so we've brought food and household items and we are planning to help them out for as long as we can. It's really sad to see how they've lost their homes. Hopefully everything can be recovered."

The area with the most people affected is Goseong County, but volunteers are working hard all throughout Gangwon-do Province. When asked for how long they expect to be helping, the volunteers say it's not about how long... but rather how much help they can be.

Thanks to their efforts, hopefully everyone will be able to go home soon... safe and sound.
