The BJP has fielded union minister and sitting MP Nitin Gadkari and taking him on from the Congress is Nana Patole. Interestingly, Patole was with the BJP till 2017. Gadkari spoke with CNBC-TV18’s Archana Shukla and said that not only will the NDA better its tally in Maharashtra, it will also secure an absolute majority at the centre. Patole meanwhile alleged that the ''Green buses'' ply on the roads of Nagpur only to promote Gadkari's sugar factories.
