FTS News Bits | Workers at a plantation company in Ecuador are demanding that the authorities help them reach a settlement in their dispute with the company. The Furukawa plantation company, which exports abacá fibre used to make specialized paper, was closed in February. It was accused of labor abuses that amounted to modern slavery.
