DMK President MK Stalin's Hindu Push, not Anti-Hindu; Dravidian Party Chief
  • 5 years ago
The DMK President’s principal argument being “we are not against any religion, we believe in protecting all religions” The question some are asking is this a pre-election attempt by the DMK boss to reach out to the Hindus? Remember the Dravidian parties have always been described as atheists. So why these statements and why now? Is it because of the BJP’s foray into Tamil Nadu politics in alliance with the AIADMK and the saffron party’s unmistakable focus on matters of religion often invoking Hindu pride? Is the DMK trying to echo its ally the Congress’ line? The grand old party too has often accused the BJP of misleading the country by labelling it as an anti-Hindu party. So is Stalin just setting the record straight? Or is this a new Hinduism push as it were by the Dravidian party? And will it work in these elections?
