MILAN - It was a story of contradictions on Prada’s fall runway: Cocktail dresses paired with dialed-down heavy combat boots opened the show. Military wool was softened by satin rosettes; Swaths of black lace gathered over starched shirt dresses. Every look offered a measured balance, folding gothic romance touches into an overarching utilitarianism theme.
