Afghanistan’s worst floods in seven years have affected eight provinces and destroyed thousands of homes. The floods have added to devastation from ongoing violence as well as 11 months of severe drought. The United Nation’s humanitarian coordinator in Afghanistan has called upon the European Commission to increase aid to the conflict-ridden nation.
