SK Group chief Chey Tae-won retains board seat at SK Holdings despite opposition from NPS

Meanwhile the chairman of Korea's third biggest conglomerate, SK Group, has managed to hold on to his board seat despite opposition from the NPS.
That's Chey Tae-won.
He will not, however, be chair of the board.
Shareholders today voted instead for the President of Korea University, Yeom Jae-ho, to serve as chair.
The NPS has been opposing either one of them from having a seat,... claiming that Chey had undermined corporate values and shareholder interests... and because Yeom was an old classmate of Chey's.
