With Artificial Intelligence McDonald’s has purchased
Dynamic Yield Ltd., an Israeli
artificial intelligence company. The deal reportedly cost
more than $300 million. In a press release, McDonald’s said
it planned to use Dynamic Yield’s
technology to enhance and
personalize the drive-through experience. Steve Easterbrook, McDonald’s Corporation President, via statement Drive-through windows will
change in real-time based on
the time of day, weather and
trending menu items. It will also instantly suggest
and display items based on
what the customer is ordering. Their mobile app and
self-ordering kiosks will
also receive a digital makeover. McDonald’s plans to introduce
this technology in the U.S. in 2019
and expand internationally at a later date.
