Michelle Obama to Be Featured at Upcoming Black Girl Festival To commemorate the success of her breakthrough memoir, 'Becoming,' Michelle Obama is planning a special event. The former First Lady is teaming up with Black Girl Festival and publisher Penguin. The BGF x Becoming Festival will take place April 9 to 11 at Canada Water Library in South East London. The event, inspired by the themes of Obama's memoir, will be open to audiences ages 11 and up. Featured workshops include poster-making and lessons on black feminist history.
