New Zealand has banned assault rifles and military-style semi-automatics, less than a week after a terrorist attack left 50 people dead in the country’s worst mass shooting. The ban was announced by New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on March 21, and it will go into effect immediately.
