Days after China blocked India’s bid at the United Nations Security Council to ban Masood Azhar, Germany has initiated a move at the European union to designate Jaish-E-Mohammed Chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. Germany has also approached several members of the EU for listing Azhar as a global terrorist and ensuring his travel ban as well as freezing his assets in the 28 countries of EU. Germany’s proposal to ban Azhar can be seen as a supporting move to India’s call at the UNSC which has been continuously blocked by China.
