Dr M's response to Ismail on ECRL cost draws laughter in Dewan Rakyat

The Prime Minister's response to federal opposition leader Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on the high cost of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) and the consequences of its cancellation drew laughter in the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday.
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the questions should have been asked before the previous government, led by Barisan Nasional, entered the deal with China.
He added that it was now too late and the current government has been forced to renegotiate the RM81bil deal signed with China Communications Construction Co Ltd (CCCC).
