'Is CNN Becoming A Believer?' Trump Praises The Network For Publishing Favorable Poll

For once, President Trump didn't slam CNN on Twitter.

President Trump has made it clear that he's generally not a fan of CNN, but, on Tuesday, he had something nice to say about the news network.  "Amazingly, CNN just released a poll at 71%, saying that the economy is in the best shape since 2001, 18 years! WOW, is CNN becoming a believer?" Trump tweeted. CNN also reported that "a majority give the President positive reviews for his handling of the nation's economy (51% approve), and his overall approval rating has ticked up to 42% in the new poll."  The media outlet goes on to note that "Trump's 42% approval rating at this point in his presidency puts him near the bottom of the list of modern elected presidents."  An example of the president's more typical comments about CNN is the tweet: "CNN'S slogan is CNN, THE MOST TRUSTED NAME IN NEWS. Everyone knows this is not true, that this could, in fact, be a fraud on the American Public. There are many outlets that are far more trusted than Fake News CNN. Their slogan should be CNN, THE LEAST TRUSTED NAME IN NEWS!"
