Mushrooms Can Improve Cognitive Function

Mushrooms Can Improve Cognitive Function A new study suggests that mushrooms may be able to protect your brain. The National University of Singapore studied 663 Chinese adults and monitored their diet and lifestyle for six years. The participants' consumption of oyster, shiitake, white button, dried, golden and tinned mushrooms was monitored. The study revealed that mushroom consumption lowered the chances of mild cognitive impairment. Mild cognitive impairment can cause forgetfulness, affect memory and cause problems with language, attention and object location. Those who ate 300g or more per week did better in brain tests and had higher processing speed. Lei Feng, Lead study author, via BBC
