N. Korea's resumption of nuclear testing would be "breach of trust" between two parties: Mulvaney

Senior White House officials are warning North Korea that a resumption of missile and nuclear tests would be a "breach of trust."
Their remarks come after a senior North Korean official suggested late last week that the regime could restart testing after the recent Hanoi summit between the two sides ended with no agreement.
Kim Hyo-sun reports.

Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney says it would be (quote) "a breach of trust" if North Korea restarts nuclear testing.
Speaking with Fox News Sunday,... he added President Trump would not be best pleased.

"I think he'd be very disappointed. He has a very good relationship with the chairman. I think they had an understanding that was not broken. The fact that we didn't get a deal in Vietnam doesn't mean that the relationship was in peril, it just means there was no deal to be had at that time."

Mulvaney also stressed that dialogue should continue between the two leaders,... explaining the North's nuclear issue is very complex and requires time.
U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton warned North Korea,... saying its latest statement that the regime is thinking of going back to nuclear and missile testing is (quote) "not a good idea."
This comes as North Korea's vice foreign minister Choe Son-hui blamed Washington last Friday for the no-deal second summit in Hanoi.

"The United States showed no sincerity toward improving DPRK-U.S. relations or fulfilling the joint statement the two countries signed in Singapore. Instead, it intended to use the second meeting to serve its political purposes."

According to The Hill,... an American political newspaper,... Bolton also hammered Kim Jong-un during a radio interview, saying Kim was unwilling to take the necessary steps to reach a nuclear deal with Washington.
He added President Trump wishes to resolve the North's nuclear issue through negotiations,... making it clear that he wants Pyeongyang to abandon its weapons of mass destruction.
