Facebook, Instagram partially down throughout many parts of world

Facebook and Instagram appear to be partially down for some users around the world.
While both platforms can be opened,... it looks like many users are unable to send or receive messages on either platform,... or post new content.
According to several U.S. reports,... the partial outage is affecting users from the U.S., Europe and Asia,... with other websites linked to Facebook being affected, as well.
'Facebook error' and 'Instagram error' were some of the top searched keywords in South Korea,... despite the outage happening early Thursday.
Facebook, which also owns Instagram,... says it's continuing to work on the issue.
