Revealed: Cowardly father-of-one who punched Aston Villa's Jack Grealish in horrific scene at Birmingham City... before player went on to score match-winning goal!
This is the thug who was arrested after Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish was assaulted during the Second City derby at St Andrew's.
The assailant has now been identified as father-of-one Paul Mitchell, who is thought to live in Birmingham.
A determined Grealish had the last laugh by picking himself up after the vile assault and scoring the match-winning goal in the second-half.
The incident occurred in the ninth minute of the game when Mr Mitchell wearing a flat cap ran onto the field from the Tilton End and appeared to punch Grealish in the head from behind.
The 23-year-old fell to the floor but thankfully did not appear to be badly hurt. A steward, helped by both sets of players, then restrained the man.
Shortly after the incident Grealish scored what would end up being the match-winning goal and jumped over the hoardings to celebrate.

Der Anwalt des Täters gab an, sein Mandant könne sich nicht erklären, was über ihn gekommen sei. "Seine Intention war eigentlich, auf den Platz zu gehen und das Publikum anzuheizen", sagte er.
Birmingham City begrüßte das Urteil in einer Stellungnahme. "Was er getan hat, ist inakzeptabel und hat im Fußball keinen Platz", hieß es darin. Zudem erklärte der Klub, dass der Fan nie wieder das City-Stadion betreten und auch keine Karten für Auswärtsspiele des Vereins kaufen dürfe.
Zudem habe Birmingham City einen weiteren Anhänger lebenslang gesperrt. Dieser hatte in den Sozialen Netzwerken Grealish und dessen Familie beleidigt.
