DWTS is a prime-time dance show, based on a similar British series named 'Strictly Come Dancing'. Since 2005, duos comprised of professional dancers and celebrities have competed to the sound of various music themes in order to win the favour of viewers and a judging panel. Champions are crowned twice a year and awarded the Mirrorball trophy.
