Trump's Ex-Chief Of Staff John Kelly: I'd Have Worked For Hillary Clinton If She'd Won And Asked

John Kelly covered a wide range of topics during a Duke University appearance.

President Trump's former chief of staff John Kelly revealed on Wednesday that he would have worked for Hillary Clinton if she'd have won the 2016 election and asked him to serve under her. NBC News reports that, during an appearance at Duke University, he said: "If Hillary Clinton had called me, I would have done it."  Kelly also reflected upon his time with the Trump administration, stating that serving as the president's chief of staff was "the least enjoyable job I've ever had."  "But it was the most important job I've ever had," he added. Kelly left that post at the end of 2018 after a period reportedly filled with tension and acrimony.  At the time, the New York Times reported that Kelly, who had been put in the position to establish order, "slowly realized the futility of trying to control the president, and ultimately resigned himself to a stalemate of coexistence, simply letting Trump be Trump and complaining to his colleagues about how miserable he was in the job."
