President Trump on Tuesday again touted his approval rating on Twitter.
President Trump on Tuesday touted a 93% approval rating. "Republican Approval Rating just hit 93%. Sorry Haters! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" Trump wrote in a tweet. The Guardian notes that "he is likely referring to Republicans approval of his job performance and not the public's opinion of the GOP, which is low."
Notably, based on Gallup poll results reported in late January, only 37% of those surveyed had a favorable view of the Republican party. A tweet Trump sent out about a week ago also suggests he's talking about his approval within his party. It read: "93% Approval Rating in the Republican Party. 52% Approval Rating overall! Not bad considering I get the most unfair (BAD) press in the history of presidential politics! And don't forget the Witch Hunt!"
