Volunteer traffic monitors were blown away when they caught an astonishing 133,000 drivers speeding through a tiny village - in just a week.

Almost half of all the motorists who went through the Kent village of Staplehurst were breaking the 30mph limit, the survey revealed, and more than 150 were going over 70mph. Staplehurst has a population of just 6,000, but now locals are now calling for a speed camera on the road that runs through their picturesque village.
