Trump Jr. Slams Washington Post's 'Pathetic' Editor's Note On Covington Controversy

Donald Trump Jr. slammed the Washington Post on Saturday.

Donald Trump Jr. has blasted the Washington Post over an editor's note explaining inaccuracies in its reporting of the controversial standoff between a Covington Catholic High School student wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat and a Native American activist.
The president's son tweeted Saturday: "The retraction is always late and hidden where [no] one will see it after the damage was done and only to mitigate damages in the lawsuit. Pathetic. Why doesn't everyone do a front page headline on this for a week like they did when they thought the story broke their way?"
His post was a response to one issued by former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, who had written: "The @washingtonpost destroyed several teenager's reputations. The #CovingtonCatholic students will deal with the consequences of this  poor (& bias) 'reporting'   This 'editor's note' buried late on a Friday is pathetic. The Post & other media outlets need to apologize."
On Friday, the Post released the note about the January 18 incident at the Lincoln Memorial, stating: "Subsequent reporting, a student's statement and additional video allow for a more complete assessment of what occurred, either contradicting or failing to confirm accounts provided in that story — including that Native American activist Nathan Phillips was prevented by one student from moving on, that his group had been taunted by the students in the lead-up to the encounter, and that the students were trying to instigate a conflict."
The note comes on the heels of a $250 million lawsuit filed by the family of the central student, Nicholas Sandmann, against the Post.
The president has since expressed his support for the family.
"Covington student suing WAPO," Trump tweeted last month. "Go get them Nick. Fake News!"
