Katy Choi Wing-kei and Pierre Cheung Chun-kong are ‘little people’ – a term by which many dwarves identify. They are also a couple in love. After they first met, Pierre actively pursued Katy. Although she thought carefully about whether she wanted to share her life with another little person, they have been happy together since June 2017. Katy and Pierre have each faced challenges: they were bullied at school, had trouble finding work and were discriminated against and stared at. The Hong Kong couple are both active in the “Little People of Hong Kong” organisation, which provides support for people with dwarfism and their families. The foundation’s motto is: “we are little, but not less”.
