'Darling, Is The Wind Blowing Today? I’d Like To Watch Television': Trump Mocks Green New Deal During CPAC Address

President Trump on Saturday delivered remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

President Trump has mocked the Green New Deal by joking that people would have to wait for the wind to blow to watch television.
During a speech to the conservative CPAC conference Saturday, Trump said: "The Green New Deal, right? Green New Deal. I encourage it. I think...it's really something that they should promote. They should work hard on, it's something our country needs desperately."
"They should stay with that argument," he added. "Never change. Never change. No planes, no energy. When the wind stops blowing, that's the end of your electric. Let's hurry up."
Trump then prompted more laughter from the crowd by pretending to call out to someone, saying, "'Darling? Darling, is the wind blowing today? I'd like to watch television, Darling."
The Green New Deal, spearheaded by some Democrats, is an ambitious plan aimed at achieving net-zero emissions in the U.S. by 2030.
