Seven more students detained in JNU case
Seven more Jawaharlal Nehru University students have been detained on Saturday for protesting the arrest of JNU Students' Union president Kanhaiya Kumar at Indira Gandhi International Centre. There has been no end to the controversy over an event in the university campus protesting the hanging of 2001 Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru. Kumar was arrested on Friday and remanded to three-day police custody by a local court, a day after police filed a sedition and criminal conspiracy case against him on complaints from BJP MP Maheish Girri and ABVP members.
