Delhi DCW Chief writes to Juvenile Justice Board.
DCW Chairperson Swati Maliwal moved the Supreme Court past midnight in a last ditch effort to try and stall the release of the juvenile convict in Nirbhaya case. The vacation of the Supreme Court agreed to hear the petition but refused to stay the release of the Juvenile. Now while the DCW petition listed 10 grounds on why the juvenile cannot be released at this juncture and contended he was still a danger to the society, Nirbhaya's parents have questioned the delay of action by the DCW. Activists too have questioned why the DCW or NCW didnt move court earlier and waited quite literally till the very last minute
