Till yesterday it was being speculated that Chhota Rajan would be taken to Mumbai, but suddenly the case was transferred to CBI. Sources suggest that there was threat to Chhota Rajan's life, if he's in Mumbai.

There may be a bid to assassinate him in Mumbai. Even Rajan was against his sole custody to Mumbai Police.
