Supreme Court may limit time for bursting fire crackers during Diwali after plea by 3 infants

The Supreme Court on Friday said it was seriously considering to limit fire cracker bursting on Diwali day between 5pm and 10PM. A bench headed by the Chief Justice of India H L Dattu asked the Centre to respond to this suggestion. The counsel for three toddlers have pleaded for restricting cracker bursting between 7pm and 9pm. SC ordered the centre and state governments to give wide publicity in print and electronic media about the ill effects of fire crackers.
