India backs Sri Lanka at UN?

India is likely to back Sri Lanka on the UN Human Rights Council resolution over alleged war crimes. The resolution, co-sponsored by the USA and Sri Lanka and supported by a few European nations was tabled last week. India could back Sri Lanka in its opposition to the inclusion of foreign judges, to probe the war crimes committed during the conflict with the LTTE.

The crucial vote is expected to take place today. Now it remains to be seen whether the government will ignore the sentiments of the tamil community ?
