VHP rakes up Ram temple issue yet again

VHP and BJP leader Subramanian Swamy have made a renewed pitch for the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya. Addressing the media, VHP leader Ashok Singhal said that the government should take over the disputed land to make the ram temple.
Dr. Swamy said that he had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on how to remove legal obstacles on the route to building the Ram temple.
This renewed pitch, while significant for its timing, comes ahead of the Bihar polls. But it remains to be seen whether the central govt will pay any heed to the fresh demand.
