BJP's ally Shiv Sena has reigned the Veer Savarkar debate, Shiv Sena has written a letter to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding Bharat Ratna for Savarkar. The letter has been written by Shiv Sena MP, Sanjay Raut, in which he lists out reasons for conferring the highest civilian honour on Savarkar. The letter says that Savarkar hasn't got his due as the previous govts have been unfair to the national hero. Remember, during Atal Bihari Vajpayee's rule, Savarkar was successful in lodging veer Savarkar in the national consciousness. But, the question is has Veer Savarkar been denied his due by previous governments? And can NDA be seen to be honouring the proponent of Hindutva?
