DGCA suspends 2 Jet pilots for flying on low fuel

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Friday suspended two Jet Airways pilots operating a Doha-Kochi flight on August 8, who tried to land the aircraft thrice in Cochin and thrice in Trivandrum. The Kochi-bound flight with 152 passengers on board, landed safely in Trivandrum at the seventh attempt after clearing fuel emergency. At the time of landing it carried 270 litres of fuel when it should have been holding 3500 litres.
