Amidst the liquor politics among political parties in Tamil Nadu, a professor of Madras University has been suspended for failing to take action against students of his department who were demanding a ban on liquor. In some strong action by jaya govt, the hod of the political science department professor Ramu Manivannan was demoted after he refuses to provide details of students who protested few days ago and even refused to take action against the students claiming it was their 'democratic right' to protest.
