SC deputy registrar quits over judgment on Yakub's hanging

Amid the raging debate over the death penalty brought alive by the execution of Yakub Memon, a Supreme Court deputy registrar has resigned, terming the verdicts that paved the way for the hanging of the 1993 Mumbai blasts convict “judicial abdication” that should count among the court’s “darkest hours”.
