A miffed Shashi Tharoor has written to Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi alleging that his work and sincerity has not been appreciated and many within the Congress were trying to malign him. Tharoor's letter comes after reports that he was pulled up by the party chief for not towing the party line and leaking party details. In what almost comes as an indictment of the sycophancy culture in the Congress, Tharoor is said to have expressed dismay at reports that aims to portray him as an isolated figure.
