39 member of Kolkata's censor board is packed with BJP sympathizers

While the row over FTII chairman continues, a new controversy has broken out in Kolkata. The Central Board of Film Certification's Kolkata advisory panel has been packed with BJP sympathizers and staunch RSS men after it was reconstituted in June this year. Many of the members aren't even linked professionally to the industry in any way. It could trigger another storm at a time when the controversy over saffronisation of appointments at Film and Television Training Institute is still raging. The 39-member board in Kolkata is empowered to seek cuts and decide rating.
