Did Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi represent Lalit Modi in court?

After Sushma, Raje & Dushyant Singh, the Congress has dragged Attorney General of India, Mukul Rohatgi, into the Lalit Modi scandal,
The Congress party has demanded a probe on Rohatgi's role in the government's decision not to appeal against the Delhi High Court order restoring Lalit Modi's passport. The party also demanded an answer from Rohatgi on whether he had earlier led Modi's legal defence and, if so, wouldn't it amount to a "conflict of interest" in him, as the attorney general, advising the government in matters related to Modi cases.
