Nation at 9: Should netas be allowed to promote their personality cult on taxpayers money?

The Tamil Nadu government has decided to appeal a Supreme Court order that struck down government advertisement that carried netas faces. The Supreme Court had ruled that government ads should only carry the photographs of the Prime Minster, President and the Chief Justice of India. The Tamil Nadu government on its part feels that this ruling is unfair and militates against the principle of federalism. But those concerned with public welfarism believe that the tax payers money cannot be spent on funding neta self glorification.
