The first qualifier of IPL 8 at the Wankhede saw the hosts Mumbai Indians beat the Chennai Superkings by 25 runs as they cruise into the finals of IPL season 8. Hosts Mumbai Indians electing to bat first got off to a fluent start with both Parthiv Patel and Lendl Simmons scoring at a brisk pace. MI lost the duo after their 90 run first wicket stand and captain Rohit Sharma along with Hardik Pandya too went out in a hurry. But, in came Kieron Pollard to spell a power-packed 41 off just 17 balls taking Mumbai to a total of 187.
