Land bill to occupy centre-stage at BJP's national executive meet

Under a vigorous and united offensive from the opposition, the BJP will mull it's Land bill counter strategy at its ongoing National executive in Bangalore today. Narendra Modi and top BJP leaders to discuss how to get bill passed in both houses of Parliament with the Prime Minister holding a public rally today and addressing a gathering of party leaders later. Govt's Land Bill amendment is facing stiff opposition from parties dubbing it 'anti-farmer'. The Centre was unable to get the amendment passed in both houses in first half of Budget session. It had to prorogue Rajya Sabha and is likely to re-promulgate the Ordinance.
