Akhilesh government under fire for power crisis

The BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit has upped its ante on power outages in the state and decided to hold a string of protests against the Samajwadi Party government.
The party, in the first phase, has begun holding protests across 75 districts of the state.
The protests would continue also against the grim power scenario in the state.
The statewide protests are being led by district BJP presidents and will demand an end to unscheduled power rostering and improvement of power generation and transmission.
