Parents of Debashish Acharya, the engineering student accused of slapping Trinamool MP and chief minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday, told newspersons on Tuesday that while their son had done a wrong thing, the way Trinamool supporters beat him up was unacceptable.

Debashish's parents also admitted that their son was mentally disturbed.
