Exactly a week after a nursery student was allegedly sexually abused at a school in Bangalore, a six-year-old girl has been raped. The police suspect the assault took place in her school premises and one person is being questioned in this regard.

The child was assaulted twice, on October 28 and 29, said Alok Kumar, Additional Commissioner of police, Law and Order.

On Wednesday, the child came home complaining of stomach ache. When the family took her to the hospital, the doctors confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted, sources
A rape case was filed at the Jeevanbhima Nagar police station this afternoon. Mr Kumar, who later visited the school, said, "We have detained a person and we have also lodged a case against the school for not following police guidelines."
