Amit Shah exempted from court appearance

BJP president Amit Shah has been granted exemption by Mumbai CBI court from attending hearing in criminal Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Tulsi Prajapati encounter cases. He will need to be presented only for framing of charges or if court specially directs.
Shah was minister of state for Home in Gujarat when Sohrabuddin Sheikh was encountered by Gujarat Police.
Shah is going to visit Ranchi on Tuesday along with union minister Arun Jaitley at around noon and declare party’s menifesto for Jharkhand assembly elections in the evening before leaving for Delhi.
