Pakistan protests with India over LoC killing

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wednesday summoned Acting Indian High Commissioner, to lodge protest after Indian Border Security Force (BSF) troops deployed at Tashpura Post shot dead an elderly Pakistani goat-herder, who had inadvertent crossed the border in Narowal's Shakargarh village, Samaa reported.

According to Foreign Office spokesperson, three Pakistani villagers came under fire after they inadvertently crossed the international border while collecting fodder.

"One of them collapsed under the volley of machine gun fire after sustaining serious wounds, while the other two managed to safely return to the Pakistani side", the statement said.

The spokesman added that immediately after a Company Commander level contact was established by Pakistan Rangers to pull the wounded Pakistani through, but the BSF refused to comply and the injured died in the custody of BSF troops.
