President accepts LG’s plan to invite BJP to form government in Delhi

President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday approved Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung's plan to invite single largest party to form government in Delhi, said sources. The President's decision was conveyed to the Lieutenant Governor on Monday night.
The decision will be communicated to the Supreme Court as it will hear the Aam Aadmi Party's plea on dissolution of the Assembly today.
If the single largest is invited, then Delhi will also have a Bharatiya Janata Party government. The BJP had won 32 seats in the 70-member House, but after three of its MLAs have become MPs, its strength has been reduced to 29.
